I am a London based lettercarver, working from my studio in Islington.
I studied lettercarving for 2 years at Weymouth College and then worked for Richard Kindersley as an assistant in his London studio for a further 2 years.
I now work to commission on headstones and memorials. I do restoration and cleaning of old stones.
I also do applied lettering on buildings and am the stonecarver to the RIBA, updating the lettering at their building at Portland Place.
I make one off pieces of lettercarving which I put into exhibitions. I do these to experiment with different forms of lettering (hand drawn letters and typefaces) and materials. I often work in collaboration with other lettering artists, carvers and designers.
